# Alcarcia

> Personal site of Alcarcia (aka Damalga): Spanish electronic music producer, graphic designer and web developer. Catalogues six releases published between 2018 and 2025 across independent labels, with tracklists linked to their Bandcamp pages.

This site doubles as a React sandbox and a shelf for his discography, built with minimum dependencies (React 19, Vite, SCSS, Lenis smooth scroll) as a deliberate exercise in "default mode" web development. Content of each release, its label, catalogue number and cover art. Each track links to its Bandcamp page.

## Bio

Alcarcia is an adventurous artist born and raised in Madrid.

His attitude towards music is fearless and unexpected, making each piece of production/selection distinctive yet unique. Throughout his tracks and sets there is a strong narrative thread, perhaps revealing his interest in audiovisual storytelling and films, going beyond musical expression. His understanding of aesthetics, expression and communication through the arts is comprehensive and complex, which might be pretty easy to dismiss at first. Versatile but fussy, he (un)intentionally seeks diversity and doesn't quite see the boundaries between genres.

From the rawest hard techno (/whatever) beats one can possibly rave to, to the most calming instrumental ambient sounds. His passion and knowledge concerns music with or without lyrics, purely electronic pieces of work or pre-digital era compositions which in turn, influence his experimental way of producing.

The lockdown months in 2020 inspired him to create Magia a la luz de bajo consumo, a 10-track (cute) pink cassette where we can also find the collaborative work of other talented folks in the city (Madrid).

He's got the spirit of a curious researcher and innate artist, and the genuine willingness to collaborate and expand the network of fellow passionate human beings.

Alcarcia is cofounder of Polymorphism Records, a record label that works on promoting intercultural exchange and bringing together diverse musical backgrounds. There are no restrictions nor expectations for the artists involved, allowing spontaneous and fresh outcomes to happen naturally.
